Nestled serenely in the mountainous a far north-west corner of Thailand adjacent to the Burmese border, there is a Western Monk by the name of Julian who resides in Sob Mel Forest in the Mae Hong Son province.
Julian has been a monk for 11 years and only comes out 3 times a week as not to disturb local villagers. Devoted followers come and to make merit and are happy to see someone embrace their religion and culture.
