Get off the BTS at Punnawithi or Udom Suk and there is a cool happening Soi that is 101/1, ( more next week on the bars and places to eat in the area) but the place we want to talk about is Zinc 101 which is located next to Soi 13 in Sukhumvit 101/1 that’s run by husband and wife team Dan and Nui, this place is one of my favourite bars in Bangkok.
Visit any night of the week and you won’t be disappointed, choose from one of their burgers or eat from Nui’s superb Som Tam stall out the front and you won’t be disappointed, Friday’s are a great night with possibly one of the most original happy hour’s around that’s called pressure hour ( first person to leave the building or go for a pee and its game over).
The furniture and artwork are all hand and Dan and Nui put a load of time and effort into making the place unique, a great credit to the team at Zinc that they succeeded. The food is amazing, choose from homemade burgers and some of the best chips around or if you want pizza Dan will even let you order out from local tapas bar La Taska. This place has two pool tables, live music and a great friendly atmosphere with hosts that more than welcome you inside their pride and joy.
Seriously guys, visit this place before the rest of Bangkok here’s about it, a sure fire sweet3mango recommended place to visit.
