Wongwai Yai is located on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River, The arrival of the BTS six years ago brought people to this part of Bangkok.
A statue of Taksin the Great who liberated Thailand after Ayutthaya was invaded by the Burmese in 1767,this statue that was created by the Italian sculptor Corrado Feroci was built in 1953.
The area is full of some great places to eat, and some very interesting characters.
